This policy explains how ClearVisibility ("we", "us") handles personal data collected through this website and when you subscribe. Data processed within the ClearVisibility product on behalf of customers is governed by the relevant customer agreement.
Who we are
ClearVisibility is operated by John Reed Associates Consultancy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 11238800), whose registered office is Gateshead International Business Centre, Mulgrave Terrace, Gateshead, NE8 1AN. What we collect
- Information you give us. When you request a demo or contact us: typically your name, work email, organisation, role and any message.
- Technical information. Standard server logs, and (if enabled) privacy-friendly, aggregate website analytics.
- Exposure Check tool. When you use the free exposure check, we keep a record of the domain checked and the result to understand demand for the tool. We do not record who ran the check.
How and why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a demo.
- To operate and secure the website.
- To understand and improve the site using aggregate analytics that don't identify you.
We only use your details for the purpose you provided them. We do not sell your personal data.
Payments and subscriptions
If you subscribe to a paid plan, our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle collects payment, handles billing and remits the applicable transaction taxes.
- We never see or store your card details. They are provided directly to Paddle, which is PCI-compliant for that purpose.
- What we receive from Paddle is limited to what we need to run your subscription: your billing email, country, the plan you bought, and the subscription's status and renewal date.
- What we send at checkout is a reference to your ClearVisibility site and installation, so the correct licence activates automatically after payment.
- Paddle handles your data under its own privacy notice, available at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. See our Terms of Service for billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, to object, and to data portability. Email info@clearvisibility.co.uk. You may also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
